This webinar has been designed to help professionals working with children and young people with Auidtory Processing Disorder to better understand the challenges it brings and how to better support them.
Auditory processing difficulties and disorders (APD) affects how the brain interprets sound rather than how sound is carried through the ear to the brain.
Each person is affected in a different way and to a different degree, so APD may be called a spectrum disorder. Some children have a greater range of difficulties than others, and the effect of APD can be worsened by the presence of other conditions, such as dyslexia, language processing difficulties, poor attention and poor short-term memory.
This webinar will last approximately two hours, including time for questions and answers at the end of the presentation.
