The Community Network Groups provide a discussion based opportunity to develop your understanding around neurodevelopmental conditions (NDCs), to ask questions and share learning and experience. You can talk to other parents, the ADDvanced Solutions team and visiting professionals who can help and support you.
The topic for discussion this week is about Autism with Demand Avoidant Profile.
All autistic children and young people will have a degree of demand-avoidance due to their high levels of anxiety. Behaviour associated with autism with a demand avoidant profile can be challenging and requires a non-confrontational approach. We will discuss how to adopt this approach in this session for families.
