We are a Community Interest Company established out of a need in 2012 to provide an open access offer of learning opportunities, coaching, and mentoring programmes and health, wellbeing and enrichment activities for neurodiverse children, young people and families, including needs associated with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, specific learning difficulties, SEND and associated mental health needs, and for the professionals who support them.

Commissioned and funded across Cheshire and Merseyside and the North West region, we have opportunities to support the organisation as it expands and develops in the following areas:

Community Engagement and Learning Facilitator

The role:

To engage, educate, equip, enable, encourage and empower neurodiverse children, young people and their families and supporting professionals, including needs associated with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, specific learning difficulties, SEN and disability and associated mental health needs through the planning, delivery and development of quality assured, evidence-based informal and structured learning opportunities, including Community Network Groups, learning programmes and workshops and health, wellbeing and enrichment activities, including school holiday activities information, advice and guidance resources.

Provide ongoing wrap-around information, advice and guidance support via email, telephone, face-to-face, online and social media.

Develop relationships and build partnerships with supporting professionals, schools, and agencies, attending meetings, community engagement events to promote and strengthen the offer.

To Work flexibly and collaboratively with all team members supporting the ongoing design, development, and delivery of our offer.

To support the smooth running of the organisation, including general day-to-day administration tasks and provide cover for other team members and the office as required.

Candidates should:

Possess a recognised qualification in teaching (minimum Teaching and Learning Level 3), information, advice and guidance and/or coaching and mentoring, parent/carer, family, community work or a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate experience and ability in this work.

Bring wide-ranging/extensive knowledge and understanding of the needs of, and challenges faced by, neurodiverse children, young people and their families, including needs associated with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, specific learning difficulties, SEND and associated mental health needs and genuine insight into the impact on family life, education and social inclusion and emotional wellbeing.

Be skilled and experienced in researching, designing, developing and delivering learning opportunities, training events/workshops and facilitating group work (online and face-to-face) for neurodiverse children, young people and families and for the professionals who support them.

Be skilled and experienced in engaging, welcoming and encouraging participants to access and to participate. Able to demonstrate excellent communication and strong facilitation skills, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment and positive experience for all.

Possess strong planning, organisation, administration and time management skills; able to work both independently and closely with the rest of the team with a resourceful and confidential approach.

Possess a clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently across Cheshire and Merseyside and the North West region, working within the community and detached.

  • Full-time, 52 weeks and may include some evening and weekend working to deliver learning activities, attend events as well as work from the office (currently in Speke). Consideration given to part/time/flexible working.

Neurodevelopmental Coach

The role:

Candidates should:

Be a skilled coach and mentor able to work with neurodiverse children, young people and families, including parents/carers and supporters.

Possess recognised qualifications in coaching and mentoring (minimum Level 3), children and young people and family/community work or portfolio of evidence to demonstrate experience and ability in this work.

Bring wide-ranging/extensive knowledge and understanding of the needs of, and challenges faced by, neurodiverse children, young people and their families, including needs associated with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, specific learning difficulties, SEND and associated mental health needs and genuine insight into the impact on family life, education and social inclusion and emotional wellbeing.

Possess strong facilitation skills with the ability to support the needs of a wide range of neurodiverse children, young people and families (including those with behaviours that challenge), promoting an inclusive and supportive environment and experience for all.

Be skilled and experienced in engaging, welcoming and encouraging neurodiverse children, young people and families to access and to participate. Able to demonstrate excellent communication and strong facilitation skills, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment and positive experience for all.

Skilled and experienced working with a wide range of supporting professionals across partner organisations, education, health and social care, specialist services such as looked after children's services and children's / youth provision.

Possess strong planning, organisation, administration and time management skills; able to work both independently and closely with the rest of the team with a resourceful and confidential approach.
